The Doodle Dance Show is created by Anna Williams & Tom Roden, commissioned and produced by Greenwich Dance, co-commissioned by DanceEast and South East Dance and supported by Arts Council England and Cambridge Junction.
Anna Williams is an award winning dancer, choreographer and teacher. She has worked as a performer and maker in dance, theatre, opera and live art for over 20-years. She was the recipient of the Prix Individuel (ADAMI) performance award at the International Festival for Choreography Barnolet and her choreography has been nominated for a South Bank Show Award. Anna is an Associate Artist at DanceEast.
Anna was founder member of Ricochet Dance, and has danced as a soloist with Russell Maliphant Dance Company, Random Dance, Aletta Collins, Carol Brown Dances, New Art Club and Clod Ensemble. Anna has extensive experience in teaching dance to all ages and levels of experience including Greenwich Dance, London Contemporary Dance School, Trinity Laban, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and DanceEast CAT scheme.
Tom Roden is an award winning comedian, dancer and choreographer. As part of The New Art Club, Tom has been creating funny, art-fuelled shows since 1998. New Art Club were finalists in The Place Prize (2004) and won The Edinburgh Spotlight Best Comedy Award in 2010. They are Associate Artists at Cambridge Junction.
As a solo artist Tom has worked as a movement director at the worlds leading Opera Houses and has choreographed dance and theatre shows with companies such as Scottish Dance Theatre, The Royal Exchange, Bolton Octagon, Reckless Sleepers and Probe. He continues to mentor artists and regularly guest lectures at the UK’s leading dance training establishments.
